For
weeks after the museum incident Gumi was crabbier and very prone to
smacking people with her scripts from theatre, Miku withdrew from our
group of singers, Percy was hounding people for answers about who Mrs.
Dodds was, and I got into ten different brawls and got kicked out of
Choir. The day before finals I was told I wasn't invited back into Yancy
next year. Percy, Oliver, Hadley, Miku, Gumi and Sonika were told the
same. The rest of our friends, meaning Luka, Piko and Mikael, said they
were following us to our next school.That was fine. The reason for me
living at Yancy was ripped away anyway. Later that night Percy burst
into my room and said "Grover's up to something!" My head shot out from
under my quilt and I said "Percy, get out before I throw my lamp at you!
I'm trying to think of how to tell MASTER that I got kicked out."
Next day Percy and I were walking out of our three hour Latin test when
Percy was called back. He came back three minutes later with watery
eyes. I groaned and said "Badly worded way of
saying that you need to try harder?" He nodded. I grumbled and said "Well I think you need to try harder at reading and find some way to sate your investigative tendencies." We walked back to my room and put all of my stuff into my black trunk, duffel bag and rolling suitcase. He looked at the axe stickers and my full name painted onto the lid in glittery midnight blue and said "Did you paint that?" I grinned and nodded. I have extremely beautiful penmanship. He sighed and walked back out. I shrugged and put all my clothing into it neatly folded and color coordinated. Then I set my song books and text books on top of it. I stuffed my toiletries into my duffel and put my coats into my suitcase. I had enough room to put my duffel in it so I put it in there and carried my stuff out to the loading area where father was waiting for me with Percy, Cul, and Grover. I grinned and yelled "Hey Hadley!" She growled and said "What Yandere-Chan?" I feigned hurt and said "Why Hadley, I didn't realize you thought I was a stalker!" Cul and I couldn't keep
it together and we broke down laughing. Father just stared at us like we were stupid. "Hi dad." He said "Hello Mayu." in a cold detatched voice. I said "How's work been for you?" He glared and said "Fine until I had to find you a new school. Another fight? I told you not to get in anymore fight!" I said "I was attacked when we went to the Metropolitan by a monster dad, so I'm sorry I've been so high strung to the point I kicked Bobofit's butt." Dad paled and said "Was it just you or-" I said "It was actually Miku, Hadley, Oliver and Percy. Gumi and I told Mr. Brunner and
we went to help Percy." He ushered me into the car and said "Hadley, tell Sally you need to go to camp. Elizabeth, Sonika, let's go." They filed into the car and we drove off. "Who was the monster posing as?" He asked me. "Percy's algebra teacher. She lured them into an abandoned gallery and had Oliver by the arm. She told Miku to stay out of it, or at least that's what I heard from Percy, and started accusing Percy of stealing things. That's when Gumi, Grover and I burst through the door. I gripped Mimi tight and she turned into an axe and Gumi's gloves
turned into a glowing bat. And we turned her to dust." "SoNiKa! Call your mother and tell her you three are going to camp and to send over your clothing." My yellow clad stepsister said "On it Gabriel." and texted her mom. I squawked when the car hit a cow and
my head connected with the ceiling. SoNiKa and I cried out "Oh god, that thing has Meiko!" And I rolled out of the car holding Mimi. I squeezed my bunny's throat and my axe materialized. I took it and flung my axe at it's hand. I was too late and Percy
plunged something into it's ribs. "Percy! Duck!" Oddly enough he did. I called to my dad and step siblings "Percy and Miss Sally need help!" and ran to help Len with Rin, who had been thrown into a tree. I shouldered one side of her and he took the other. Together we carried her to the big pine tree. Dad hefted Kaito, who had collapsed in a heap when Meiko died, like a baby and carried him with SoNiKa, and Gumi trailing behind him with our stuff. I spotted a big house and started walking to it when Sally said "I can't get in!" Len said "I, Len Kagamine son of Apollo, give Sally Jackson permission to enter." We all walked to the big house together. "Kagamine! YOU BROUGHT MORTALS!!!!" A red headed girl screamed. Len squeaked and said "Oh, Miki, you see, Sally-" He went quiet when my cousin, Piko, socked him on
the shoulder and said "We're playing Kagamine. It's lucky you brought Uncle Gabriel here, he's a demigod too, a son of Melionoë, much like Uncles Michael, Raphael, & Samael and Dad." I have always found it funny that my dad and his brothers are named for Christian angels. "How is uncle Metatron?" I
asked. "He's doing well. Finally got his book published." I grinned softly and said "Piko, how's life as a son of Athena been treating you? Not as arrogant as the half sister your always complaining about taunting you about your eyes right?" I honestly hate that annabeth chick because she is always saying that
Piko couldn't be a son of Athena because he's got silver hair and heterochromia making his eyes ice blue and teal. She scoffed and said "edHow are you a son of Melionoë?" I growled and said "Do not pick on my dad birdbrain! I hope your not my sister!" She flushed and said "Why? Because
your not smart enough?" I growled and said "No because you lack respect for my father, a pilot in the Royal Air Force. I happen to think my father is a hero and for you to question his lineage is an insult to me, to Piko and my uncles." Mr. Brunner put a hand on Annabeth's shoulder and said "She is absolutely right Annabeth, it was unkind of you to do what you did. Apologize to Gabriel and Mayu." She scowled and said "Sorry" I said "This will be forgiven but not forgotten." Dad said "We need to
get Rin, Percy, Kaito and Grover to the infirmary. Rin had some broken ribs, Grover has a concussion from the car accident and Percy not only has a concussion but he used a lot of energy. In the mean time, I have to speak to Lord Hades about the kidnapping of SoNiKa's best friend." and turned translucent and sank into the floor. I shook my head amused. My dad came back and said "Her mother is-" A pink light cut him off as my school uniform was transformed into something Luka wore to the Christmas dance and my rainbow hair became untangled. "-Aphrodite. Thanks hon!" He finished and went back to the underworld. I sighed and said "Thank gods I'm not Her sister." Chiron chuckled and said "She can be unbearable, but she means well." I scoffed and said "Sure Sir."
