Carry on young one

It was Halloween and James, Lily, and Guinevere Potter were inside their home in Godric Hollow. Guinevere was dressed as an angel and her face was covered in melted chocolate. James was making sparks fascinating little Gwen. She giggled, grabbing Lily's wand and stared at it intrigued. Lily said "No, no Gwen. That is mommy's!" Gently taking the wand from her hand. The young girl child frowned and said "Mommy, I was just looking! The middle's pure, like Gabe, Isaac, or Mikey. Mommy, I'm sleepy." Lily picked her up and said "Say good night to daddy." Gwen said "Good night Daddy." Lily said good night to James and carried here to her nursery. Right outside the door Lily heard the door unlock. She hurried into the nursery and shut the door. She gathered all of Guinevere's things into the emergency diaper bag, taped a note to the bag, and prayed that someone would save her baby girl. A certain Trickster angel heard her prayer and as Lily died, he took Gwen and her bag of things to the Winchesters. Mary Winchester happened to have opened the door just as Holly appeared. She scooped up her goddaughter and the diaper bag. She read the note.

Dear Mary,

If you're reading this then James and I are dead and your goddaughter Guinevere is now an orphan. I have a feeling my old Headmaster will ignore James and my wills and place Gwen with Petunia. Please Mary, take care of my little girl. She knows things she shouldn't know about
that and sometimes knows what I'm thinking. Do not trust the old man, he'll make her life a living hell. For protection call her Holly Mary Guinevere Evans. I couldn't send her to Carol, the other girls or Sirius because their positions have been compromised as well.

Your Best Friend,

Lily
She gasped and said "John! Oh, John, Lily's dead! She, she asked me to protect Gwen. She says to protect her we have to change her name to Holly Mary Guinevere Evans." John smiled and said "Sure. Welcome home Gwen." The twenty two month old child grinned at them, her emerald eyes shimmering before changing to Hazel green. Mary took her up to their nursery for their soon to be born son to put her down to sleep.

A year later October 2, 1983"Come on, let's say goodnight to your brother," Mary walked in holding Dean, who seems to be about four years old. He ran to a crib with a baby inside. Gwen trailed behind staring with big hazel green eyes.

"G'night, Sam." Dean kissed his forehead.
"Good night Sammy." Holly whispered almost inaudibly

Mary leaned over him, "Goodnight, love" and kissed his temple.

"Hey Dean, Gwen," John said. Dean ran towards him.

"Daddy!" "Uncle John!"

"Hey buddy. So what do you think? D'you think Sammy's ready to toss around a football yet?" John asked

Dean shook his head, giggling, "No, daddy" Holly shook her head and said "He's too small." Mary left John hugged Dean, and he said "Sweet dreams, Sam." There was obvious love in his voice as he says this. He left with Dean and Holly trailed behind him. The baby was drawn to the mobile above the bed. The clock stopped, and the light flickered before going out. Mary was in bed when she heard static on the baby monitor. She heard Sam as well. "John?" Mary asked. She looked and saw he wasn't there, so Mary got up to check on Sam.

She went to the nursery and found John standing over the crib. "John? Is he hungry?" John turned his head and shushed her. "Okay", Mary said and turned away from the room. She paused as the light down the hall started flickering. With confusion on her face, she walked toward it and taped it. The light stopped flickering. That's when Mary noticed the sound of the television. With a questioning tilt to her head, she walked downstairs to find the television on and John and Holly asleep in front of it. Mary's eyes went wide and she ran back up to the nursery, calling Sam's name. John woke up to Mary's scream. "Mary!" he ran upstairs to the nursery. Mary wasn't there. Meanwhile Holly ran to Dean's room and said "Dean! Something bad's about to happen! Put your things into my brown bag. I have Sammy's and my stuff in my bag too." Dean did as she said and then said "Let's go see what dad is yelling about." They ran out to the hallway and saw Sammy's nursery on fire. Dean yelled "Daddy!" John snapped out of it. He picked up Sammy and ran out to the hallway. "Dean, take Sammy. Go Dean! Go!" As Dean and Holly run outside, John went back into the nursery to see if he could save his wife. The flames had grown and the entire nursery was engulfed. He yelled "Mary, no!" Dean and Holly ran out of the house, carrying Sam. "It's okay Sammy." Both Dean and Holly said. John ran out and picked up all three kids, taking them further from the house before the top floor where the nursery was, exploded. The four of them sat on the impala. Holly said "I'm sorry Uncle John. I saved what I could get. I got some of the pictures and our clothing and my money things." Holding out her bag. He hugged her and said "Thank you Gwen." She said "Uncle John, is it bad that I can see things from the future? I'm sorry I didn't save Auntie. I didn't see any good future if I saved her. One of us always dies. I tried. I really did. This was the only one where Sam , you, or Dean didn't die."
